Last year in time for Halloween Derek Ward and I finished a story I love to tell.  It's an original story that I'd like to give to you for free.  It's about two and half hours long.  It took a lot of work but I really enjoyed creating it and providing it for you. Originally I wanted to sell it on Audible.com or some place but as the spooky season of storytelling returns I wanted to share it with you. Be careful of being caught up in the illusion of having friends online.  Real friends are priceless.  A friend, shares with us the abundance of live theater in the DC metro area. acts 21:34 But some in the crowd were shouting one thing [and] others [another], and [because] he was not able to find out the truth on account of the commotion…    commotion:  state of confused and noisy disturbance.   There is a lot of noise happening right now and it is distracting us to the point where we are not functioning well.  We forgot to listen to our bodies, to our spouses and to God.  These are the three points I am trying to remind us about this week.   Remember when the TV used to go off.  The TV is used by some to go to sleep but do you realize it is not good for you?   The importance of communicating with your spouse.  (listening for understanding)   How to hear from God (again).  Get into the Word of God.

Changing the show, going more into the serious problems plaguing my friends as a pastor.

  Keep the faith. That  means to continue in the committed pursuit of some idea or goal that is worthy but difficult to attain or achieve. It means, "Don't quit in the face of difficulty." Keep the Faith (Fidem Serva) eventually things will fall into place, until then.. laugh at the confusion, enjoy today and live for the moment accept what is let go of what was have faith in what it could be "Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air...but only for one second without hope."

Celebrating my birthday this weekend with you.  Going to share a Gospel Message I plan to share on Sunday, June 26th about "How to Fight Your Demon."  Music from my group the DC Gospel Stars called "Put it in His Hands"  and just saying thanks to you for your friendship.  

Seth Godin said   Do not tell your friends about your nascent idea, your notion, the area you hope to explore next. Do not seek reassurance from them. Do not become vulnerable about your tiny new sprout of an inkling. It will be extinguished by people who mean well. They are trying to protect you from heartache. There is a very, very tiny group of fellow travelers who can amplify your inkling. For the rest, keep it quiet. Trot out a make-believe idea instead, a pretend Potemkin Village of a project, let them dump all over that one instead. Keep the other one in the incubator for now. There will be plenty of time for sharing later. But I disagree in part.  I want to share what I want to do and put it out there so you can catch the vision.  I want to change the US.  I want to teach people how to fish.   Dream Deferred  What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up Like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore-- And then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar o
