The moment you’re born again, God puts a ‘well’ within you, because one cannot survive without water. The well He puts in us supplies living water and once we drink of it, we’ll never desire anything else. But the key is to ensure there’s a continual supply of fresh, clean, living water from our well, and that they’re not clogged up. The moment our wells dry up, it spells danger and that should immediately be rectified. Find out if you’re a well, a spring, a cistern or a river.

This Father’s Day, it’d be insightful to consider our Heavenly Father. This has application not just for us as fathers and on fathering; it also helps us understand what our Heavenly Father has done for us. May this message give us a fresh love for our Heavenly Father.

Those who are born again are called to be children of the King. Identity, security, and significance take on a whole new meaning. In this Father’s Day message, we explore these three areas in our lives that will radically change when we become sons and daughters of the Most High!

In 1995, we had a visitation from God that lasted for about 5 months. God opened the windows of heaven over Cornerstone and it was glorious. All our programmes and planning were upended. Services lasted for 5 hours. We’ve never experienced anything like that, before or since. Then all of a sudden, it started to wane but not before we saw a 30% surge in our attendance and passion like we never had before. I’m sensing a groundswell of prayer growing again for a fresh move of God. Believers are sensing there has to be more and there is. We’re in pre-revival days, that’s for sure, but what must we do to secure revival for our church and our country?

Samuel, Saul and David are the central figures in the Book of 1 Samuel. Each of their lives is recorded for us in detail, and their interactions with one another are also intricately portrayed for us. Theirs is a treasure trove of lessons that instructs us about how we are to treat one another, and how we are to respond to those around us. The truth is – there’s an element of Samuel, Saul and David in all of us. Understanding the qualities in each of them will surely help us appropriate what God seeks to accomplish in our own lives.

We live in a world today that's vastly different from what it used to be. The stakes are much higher and the devil is showing his hand. And he'll walk all over us, ride roughshod on us and dictate the agenda, unless we do something about it. We must rise up against his diabolical plans. What's needed now, more than ever before, is a prevailing company of intercessors that will ensure, through the agency of the Holy Spirit, that the Will of God is performed. We must thwart the plans of Satan. But in order to do that, we need to first become a community of intercessors, not just ordinary prayer warriors, but world-class intercessors. And we have the DNA for it.

The Book of Numbers is unlikely to be many Christians’ favourite book in the Bible. The reason perhaps is because there doesn’t seem to be a coherent subject matter. Contained within this book are two censuses that were taken some 38 years apart, a motley collection of laws, historical narratives and various instructions on how Israel was to organise herself. To observe this book as a series of unrelated episodes is to miss the point of the book itself. Numbers really gives us keys for how to order our lives aright in order to take on the calling that God has for us.

Fashion has never been a distinguishing factor in our faith. Unlike other faiths, our pastors do not have a special dress code or outfit. Yet in the Old Testament, we see an unusual command where Israel was not permitted to mix wool and linen together in their clothing. This command carries with it spiritual implications that transcends the New Testament. Discovering the meaning behind this commandment gives us insight into our priestly call as followers of Jesus Christ.

We’ve forgotten we come from a royal lineage and we must rediscover who we really are in Christ Jesus. Heaven is an aristocracy of sorts and there are many great houses and noble families in heaven. Freedom isn’t just about being able to do whatever we want individually. We exist together as a community and freedom needs to find expression through us collectively. God has given us very specific constructs for building such a community – a Body of people that loves, and holds one another accountable as well. This is God’s plan for us as a church.

What’s the one quality needed in a watchman? He has to be awake whilst everyone else is asleep. That’s his job. A watchman has to be awake for two primary reasons. Firstly, because we’ve an enemy. When a city is asleep, the watchmen must be awake, watching for every move the enemy makes, because the lives of the people are in their hands. It’s their job to warn those who are asleep of any impending danger. Secondly, because the Master of the House is returning soon and because He’s coming as a thief in the night, we must be awake, alert and ready when He comes. Prophetically, God is appointing watchmen at our walls. It might be you He’s calling.

The desire for freedom is an innate quality in all people. However, freedom isn’t about being able to do whatever we want. Instead, Jesus’ focus on freedom always begins with an inward freedom He wants to bring us to. In Part 1, we talked about freedom from sexual bondages and from our appetites. In this next part, we explore freedom in the area of our emotions as well as financial freedom. These are areas that can sabotage us in our pursuit of God’s best for our lives.

In the final installment of our series on The Apocalypse, we take a look at the three questions asked by the apostles that precipitated one of the greatest sermons every preached – The Sermon on the Mount of Olives in Matthew 24. Matthew 24 is often called ‘the spine of Biblical prophecy’ because it’s here that the Prophet of God will unveil the most important discourse on His Second Coming. A fitting finale to an important series.

When looking at the future of the Church, we need to take into account the Immediate Future, the Intermediate Future and the Ultimate Future. For the Immediate Future, I’ll be looking right up to 2030 on the events I believe will happen. The Intermediate Future is difficult to date, but I can tell you certain events that will definitely be taking place according to the Bible. Then we’ll look at the Ultimate Future of the Church, which looks at her during and after the Millennial Reign of Christ. A fascinating study.

Freedom is one of the most sought after intangibles in the world. It has inspired great speeches, built nations, and countless have willingly given up their lives so that others may live free. Freedom is also one of the primary reasons as to why Jesus came to earth. He declared that His mission was to proclaim liberty to the captives and to set free those who are oppressed. Jesus came so that we may be truly free.

How do we make sense of life when things fall apart and it feels as if we’re put on hold by God? What is God trying to do in our lives? Will these hard times one day make sense? Let’s take a closer look at the familiar account of Joseph and allow God to speak to us.

In Part 2 of our series on the Last Days, we’ll be looking at the person of the Antichrist. It might surprise you to know that the Bible has lots to say about him. In fact, so much detail is given about him in Scripture that it’s almost as if the Father is saying, “I don’t want you to be ignorant about his identity. Pay close attention and don’t be deceived.” And often because we don’t read carefully what the Bible says, we fall into error. So let’s be sure of his identity.

The Book of Exodus and the Book of Numbers are like mirror images of each other. Many events recorded in the Book of Exodus happened again in the Book of Numbers. It’s interesting that while the English Bible titles the fourth book as Numbers, the Hebrew title for the same book translates as ‘In the Wilderness’. One relates the exit of the Hebrew people from slavery, while the other tells us about their time in the wilderness. While many events are mirrored in both books, their implications are quite different. Undercovering these differences will give us insights into what God desires and expects from each of us.

This is going to be one of the most interesting subjects I’ve ever preached on. When one is studying on the subject of the Second Coming of Christ and the Apocalypse, one has to understand that there are many aspects we can look into. This is a very broad and wide subject, but I’ve chosen four topics to be shared over the next few weekends to help us understand what we’re up against in the Last Days. And whilst we’re barely scratching the surface of the subject, I think it’ll be sufficient to give us an idea of the Last Days and also perhaps whet your appetite for more. In Part 1, we look at the concept of The Elect, Divine Delay and The Bride.

As Christians, we’re called to be distinctive and different in our attitudes and behaviour. It isn’t about engineering our behaviour, but it starts with a paradigm shift. This was one of the essential things that Jesus tried to do in the Sermon on the Mount. He redefined for us how we’re to approach the issue of justice; how our actions are to be driven by a pure motive; and He also gave us a proper understanding of wealth. These paradigm shifts are essential for us to live out a life that reflects the fact that we’re born-again. This week, we’ll examine the area of our motives and understanding of wealth.
