Bible In A Year

In this week's episode of the audio Bible in a year we continue through some of the Pauline Epistles - Galatians and Romans. At times these books, written as letters to churches, can be read or heard in shortened form, picking out verses or Chapters, but this is the best way to read and hear them - in full. As you listen through them we hope you find them useful and helpful and can take the time to reflect on them as you go.

We continue through the New Testament in the audio Bible in a year. In this week's episode we read through 1 & 2 Corinthians using the book of Acts as our chronological reference. As we read through Acts we see the Apostles travel through different regions setting up churches and these two books that Paul writes, 1 & 2 Corinthians are letters from him to these churches.

In this episode of the Bible in a year we move from the book of Acts to look at some of the Epistles that were written during this time. Once again this is where the chronological version takes on a different approach and these epistles are included within the timeline of the overall book of Acts. We read through the book of James, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, and also begin into 1 Corinthians.

In this episode of the audio Bible in a year we finish the Gospel accounts of Jesus of Nazareth concerning His life, death and resurrection. We then continue into the book of Acts which is really the 'Acts of the Apostles' as they continue the message of how Jesus transformed their lives. In this episode of the audio Bible in a year, we continue through the latter stages of the Gospels, hearing about the final events in the life of Jesus. These include his final preparations for His Disciples and the events leading to the centraal event in the whole of the Bible - Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. Again the four different Gospels will look at different aspects and central themes leading up to this, but all include this horrendous event.

We continue through the Gospels of the New Testament, reading chronologically through them. At times this might seem repetitive, but even in those times try to look for the differences in each Gospel and remember that they were written for a reason

This is the first week of the New Testament and the Gospels concerning Jesus of Nazareth. He is the Messiah, the one promised throughout the writings of the Old Testament.

This audio version of the Bible in a year continues through Ezekiel and Jeremiah while also reading extracts from the book of Daniel. It may be difficult to jump from one book to another, but this is again the way of the chronological version, and the benefits of it.

In this episode of the audio Bible in a year, we continue through the book of Ezekiel as well as Daniel. These prophets continue to speak into the Israelite people, even when they do not listen.

We continue to read through the Old Testament books seeing how the people of Israel react in light of God's directing. This week we finish the book of Jeremiah and move into another book of the prophets called Ezekiel.

The audio Bible in a year week 31 continues through the book of Jeremiah, putting it into chronological order with the other Old Testament books. We continue to see reform and disaster within the Israelite people.
