Military Moments

This week, Will welcomes Marine veteran and actor Dan Lauria. They discuss reasons for joining the military, and the differences of how things operated during the Vietnam war and today. They also discuss Feed Our Vets and a few other programs for veterans, and some of the issues facing these programs. This week Will welcomes comedian Jimmy Schubert, they talk about programs that gear youth towards the military and the experiences that come with them. Also talked about is traveling to other countries and noticing the cultural differences. Of course they touch on getting scared as a civilian while traveling in military transports. This week Will welcomes actor/ comedian Owen Benjamin. They discuss Owen's touring for the USO, and how it affected the wy he thought about the military. They talk about fun times involving military resources, and making dogs look racist. How pushing someones buttons can be fun, and seeing things on tour for the military that you wouldn't expect. Will welcomes back veteran Tim Wrobel for the third time, they discuss mean games played in the military as well as getting in trouble and the results. They also touch on how satisfying it can be when you're on the other end of the punishment. They talk about some of the cool things you get to do when you're in the military. Will and guest co host Scott Douglas welcome back Steve Simeone. They discuss Steve's upcoming CD, which will be available free for soldiers and veterans. They talk for a while about scars and injuries that could have been avoided, or ended in a bit of shame. One thing they discuss is the importance of ignoring the not looking weak aspect of seeking help for mental or physical issues, reaching out for help, and as always a group dedicated to helping soldiers and veterans, this week Will talks about the National Veterans Foundation, which offers multiple resources for help, if you need help right away, you can call them at (888)777-4443.

This week, Will welcomes back comedian/ Marine veteran Rocco Stowe. They discuss 9/11 and how it impacted them and those around them. The importance in shared suffering, and how in a strange way a soldier will miss the horrible times as much as the good ones. Another topic they touch on is having your body issues pointed out to you by your superiors.
