The priests in Leviticus were sinners just like the rest of the Israelites. There were sacrifices that they needed as well to be able to go before God. There was special anointing they had to go through. Today as God's priesthood, we have a lot of parallels to the way Jesus has given everything to us to cleanse us and make us his priests in this world. One of the first things you begin to read in Leviticus is all about the different offerings that are required for different things.
