Live your life in light of Gospel love.

We are raised with Christ, made alive to go and tell with Christ.

The resurrection is God's pursuit of runaways and outcasts to welcome them as family.

The death of Jesus bring life and invites the outsiders in.

Jesus is our acceptance through humiliation.

Apart from the work of Jesus coming to seek and save the lost, there is no hope.

Matthew does not want us to be moved that Jesus got beat up. Matthew wants us to be moved that Jesus died to take our place.

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the Son of Man, and the Lamb of God who came for those who would betray, abandon, and deny him.

Jesus came to be fully like us in order to be fully for us.

Our culture tends to try to minimize our pains and weaknesses, but it is when we are weak that Christ's power is perfected.

Jesus dines with weak, sinful people, because that is the only kind of people there are.

Our life of faith is limitless when our desires are strengthened by the power of the spirit, the presence of the love of Christ, and possessing all the fullness of God.

Jesus was the priceless alabaster flask of treasure, the great priceless heirloom of our Heavenly Father, broken and poured out for you and for me.

Wait with readiness, humble and grateful investment, and generous benevolence because Christ is on his way.

Jesus is the one who knows the difficult future, who meets us in it, and will come back to rescue us through it.

What do we do with the inconsistency that we feel between who we think we are and our external reality? Go to the open arms of Jesus.

Jesus is more worthy of trust than anyone or anything. In your weariness, dont turn away but fix your gaxe upon him, consider him, and run to him with abandon.

Since we suffer and die, Jesus suffered and died, so that we would be emancipated from the fear of suffering or dying and greatly helped in our weakness.

Jesus is the redemptive paradox - the son of David and the son of God, the baby in the manger and yet redeemer and ruler of the world.
