Chas E. and Mike Mitchell are back with more music and more beer tasting. This week's episode features original performances by your own At The Hops hosts - Chas and Mike, including a new rendition of Mike Mitchell's "Claudia." We have two craft beers this week, including the Brookside Pale Lager from Roslyn Brewery and the special Black Belle Imperial Stout from Blackstone Brewery. The Black Belle Imperial Stout is a barrel aged beer and our ol friend Jack drops by share some facts on barrel aged brews. Also, we have a new Top 6 featuring great songs you thought were originals, but are actually covers, and Chas and Mike make another attempt at performing a Random Song.

Singer/songwriter Andy Gassaway joins Chas E and Mike Mitchell from San Diego, California. Andy has three full length albums and one EP to his name. Andy talks about his songwriting process as well as recording process and influences. Andy also shares two of his songs including "There Goes My Train" and "Silver Sound." We also check out two craft beers including a California Common from Anchor Brewing and the Anniversary Double Pale Ale from Hale’s Ale, and check out a Top 6 list featuring California songs.

The old gang is back! Chas E, Mike Mitchell and Adia K are together again with a Back To School special and the curriculum is music and beer. We check out three beers including the Canopus India Style Wheat Ale from Ecliptic Brewing, Gigantic IPL from Gigantic Brewing and the Organic Chocolate Stout from Sam Smith Brewery. What’s the hottest summer song of 2014? Thats the big musical question we tackle on this episode of At The Hops. Adia K joins Chas E and Mike Mitchell to check out candidates for 2014’s Summer Song. We also taste three, amazing beers from Terrapin Beer Company in Athens, Georgia, including the Moonray Chocolate Orange Weizenbock, the Guano Loco Ancho Brownie Ale, and Liquid Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter. Plus, we have some great music as we revisit three live performances from the one and only Harlan Pease.

Writers Will Dodson and Emmett "Chick" Dodson join Chas E and Mike to discuss their book Tennessee Chicken - Real Life Stories of an Orphan From East Tennessee. Chick has lived through 13 presidents, survived attacks from boars, bees, pit bulls, and grenades, and rubbed elbows with many celebrities including Eleanor Roosevelt and Ella Fitzgerald. Chick and Will have assembled some of Chick’s best stories for their book "Tennessee Chicken" and share some of their favorite moments with Chas and Mike. We also have a few beers to check out including the Beaver Tail Blond Ale from Kassik’s Brewing, Liquid Sunshine from Breakside Brewery and Expedition Amber Ale from Harmon Brewing Company. Mike Mitchell, Adia K and Chas E continue the Fourth of July celebrations with some serious libations. As our episode continues ,we crack open some Warrior IPA from Left Hand Brewing and Watershed IPA from Oakshire Brewing. Chas plays a couple of original tunes, brings us a Top 6 list of summer songs, and hosts an ultra-competitive, song guessing game with a Fourth of July theme. We also continue our adventures with the breathalyzer. It’s all beers, music and blowing!

Mike Mitchell, Adia K and Chas E begin a bit of July 4th celebrating with some music and, of course, beer. We start out the festivities with Hopzilla from Terrapin Brewing in Athens, Georgia and continue with Le Merle Saison from North Coast Brewing in Fort Bragg, California. Mike plays a some of his original songs, Adia K brings us the latest music news, and Chas becomes our new breathalyzer test subject.

Singer/songwriter Steve Charles makes a welcome return with more great tales about days on the road, breakfast with Jerry Reed and graduation day with Shirley Jones. Steve also shares four of his latest original songs including You Picked Me and Baking Bread - all performed live on our studio. And, or course, he joins Chas E and Mike Mitchell in some beer tasting as we check out the Potus 44 Porter from Black Abbey Brewing in Nashville, Tennessee.

Chas E and Mike Mitchell visit one of Nashville’s most innovative breweries - Tennessee Brew Works. Check out some exciting new ales as brewmaster Garr gives Chas and Mike the lowdown on Tennessee Brew Works innovative processing. You’ll hear all about their zesty Walk the Lime wheat ale, the spicy Basil Ryman saison and the famous Country Roots sweet potato stout to name a few. And we have some live music from the one and only Chas E.

Annemarie is a true cowgirl who also studied classical voice. Her music is a perfect blend of country goodness and refined sophistication, and you’ll hear her live as she plays three of her originals including Brand New Day and Time Stood Still. Chas E takes us to Chicago to meet brew master Brant Dubovick of DryHop Brewers. DryHop Brewers does it all - IPAs, Pale Ales, Belgian brews and some experimental brews that you will definitely want to hear about - and taste.

Chas E checks out one of Nashville’s best singer/songwriter nights at the downtown Hotel Indigo on Union Street. He also meets up with the super talented Bobby Brinker, host of the Hotel Indigo show, and singer/songwriter in his own rite. Bobby gives us the scoop on his latest cd #Project 48 and a preview with the track “Gypsy Soul.” On the beer side, we check out the Recreation Ale from Terrapin Brewery in Athens, Georgia with a little help from our old friend Jack.
