John 10:22-33 - Christ is the I AM. This truth comforts us in the midst of trouble.

John 9:1-7 - God demonstrates His power in all circumstances. He does not have problems, only plans.

John 8:39 - As the religious leaders press in upon Jesus, He pushes back, expresses His disdain for their hostility toward Him, and informs them that their understanding of the Father is destructively flawed. he calls us to be people of light.

John 7:37-39 - In the midst of muddy water we are given clear, healthy water from Jesus - teaching that helps us understand His authority

John 7 - As the crowds are talking about and around Jesus, He responds with a definitive message, eliminating confusion, making His purposes clear.

John 7:14-19 - We can either worship what God made and ignore Him, or we can worship God himself, giving glory to the cause of all things.

John 7:1-20 - Jesus would not be bullied or pushed around by those who desired that He do things for their convenience. When even His family pressed upon Him, He was committed to the will of His Heavenly Father.

John 6:66-7:9 - There were those around Jesus who did not believe, He challenges them with the option to go their own way.

John 6:52-71 - Jesus challenges the crowds, over and over again, to trust what He is teaching, to take Him at His word as it is the only way of ever having life, feeding on Him.

John 6:35-51 - Jesus is in a controversy, being rejected and often in antagonistic debate with those who disputed His teaching and ministry. In this passage He establishes massive truth aimed at silencing the critics. The more they oppose Him, the stronger His argument gets.

In the face of overwhelming needs, we are inadequate.
