This program is introduced with Romans chapter 12, a message from God on what to do when you need to wash your mind and your spirit. The thought that things of this earth aren’t of value is mentioned by Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman. The section of Romans gives believers hope for the future.

In this section of Romans chapter 11 (part two), the gentiles receive mercy after their disobedience. Chris Heeb makes the point that God is in the process of restoring the nation of Israel and to the Jewish people to him and to their land. Romans outlines this prophecy.

Romans chapter 11 makes Chris Heeb’s top five New Testament chapters list, because he says it is essential to Israel and the church to understand God’s understanding of the history of his salvation and how it works. Although we are not saved by good works, it is discussed that there are indeed consequences when God’s people disobey Him and do not show reverence to Him and Israel.

The fifth program in the Romans series, and begins with a reminder that the way to righteousness is through the Bible. Romans nine, 10 and 11 is said to scare some readers off because it effects the emotions in a major way. Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman address the fact that we rarely hear about Israel and the Jewish people when in church, listening to sermons.

Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman introduce part four in the Romans series with several facts about Romans, known to most Christians. This section of Romans brings up the topic of God’s will and his plan to bring all things together for good. Chris and Rabbi Ed advises that we keep in mind the opportunities for struggles to bring us closer to God.

Romans chapter six is the topic of discussion in today’s Faith Roots Radio program. “If Jesus was not raised from the dead - we would have nothing.” Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman say you cannot live out your faith unless you believe in the resurrection. It is an essential belief. The sinful nature of human beings is also discussed, compared to the Holiness of the commandments God has given us.

Romans chapter two is the discussion of this Faith Roots Radio program. Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman ask the question, “Are we practicing what we preach?” And challenge us to go beyond the title of simply calling ourselves Christian/Jewish. It is important to remember we are all of sinful nature and God holds all of the glory.

Chris Heeb intruduces part one of a six week series about the book of Romans. Chris and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman break down the first section of the book. They question the priorities of modern Americans, our idols and where we place the Creator on our chain of priorities. Romans is referred to as the Christian Constitution in this introductory program.

This program is second and last in a series focusing on the book of Hosea. The definition of Hosea is salvation and the theme of Hosea is outlined as being “salvation.” Why, as a representation of God, does the prophet Hosea represent God in the most personal way? Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman look at where and how God is prophesying in Hosea.

Part one of a series of programs focused on the book of Hosea. What was the basic message of this book, that could be described as a mini-Bible? A dysfunctional marriage was spotlighted in this book and the parallel between this issue in the book and in our modern society is discussed. Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman read and reflect on key verses in the book.

Replacement Theology, or Replace Israel Theology, is discussed for the second and last week of the series. When and where did this theology begin? The practice of taking the Bible figuratively, instead of literally, is highlighted as being key. Romans 11:16 is shared as a significant piece of the discussion about the Olive Tree picture. Good News for Israel board member, Thom Berkowitz, comes to the studio to provide his insight on the issue.

What Chris Heeb calls one of the most controversial issues in the church, Replacement Theology, is the topic of this week’s program. Chris, along with Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman address this issue and answer the questions: “Who is Israel?” and “Who is the church?”

Jan Markell, of Olive Tree Ministries, joins Chris Heeb as a guest on this week’s program. Jan tells the story of her coming to Faith and how it affected her family. Delving further into her personal history, Jan shares how her Jewish relatives suffered in Russia. Chris and Jan also discuss the current state of our society and the world as a whole. Chris Heeb and Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman tell the stories of how they came to the Lord, by grace. Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman talks about his life involved with the drug industry and the situation in which he first experienced the presence of God upon him. He shares how God showed ultimate grace in his life as he continued to stumble. Chris also tells the story of his coming to faith from being persecuted as a “Christ-killer” for his Jewish sounding last name and his time spent as a college student.

Chris Heeb spotlights Hanukkah on this segment of Faith Roots Radio and the Biblical root of the eight-day celebration. Because Hanukkah was significant for Jesus, it should be significant for us. Chris welcomes Keith Johnson as a guest and they discuss how Jesus celebrated Hanukkah and the miracle that occurred - the devotion of one man and his family and how they changed the whole world.

Guest Marty Goetz returns as a guest for part two of he and his wife Jennifer’s faith stories. Messianic Psalmist Marty shares what it’s like to be a high profile, Jewish believer. Marty tells listeners from his point of view how he began his relationship with Jennifer that led to 25 years of marriage. Marty shares his thoughts about Israel’s future and his travels there with Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant. As he and his family lives in Nashville among a sea of songwriters, Marty gives sentiment on the state of the Christian contemporary music industry. Marty & Jennifer Goetz join Chris Heeb & Rabbi Ed Rothman to talk about who they are as artists and how they came to know Yeshua. Marty’s wife, Jennifer, talks about growing up in New Jersey as a Jewish person and her journey to salvation. She describes traveling with the Bob Dylan band and how that helped lead her to the realization that she didn’t have to give up being Jewish to believe in Jesus.
