This week I'm joined by Top Golf Course Designer Bill Bergin and 2014 Georgia PGA Teacher of the Year Kevin Roman. Bill Bergin updated us on what's going on with several of his course design and course restoration projects like The McLemore, Waterfall, and Oaks Country Club, which is down the street from this week's PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bill gives me advice on how to play McLemore since my buddies and I are headed there this week for our annual golf trip. It's an award-winning design and the 18th hole has been named one of the Top 10 Finishing Holes in all of golf. We also hear about his experience playing in the 1984 Open Championship when he finished 14th and his 3rd round 66 was tied for the best round of the championship. What stands out about Fred during our conversation is his enthusiasm and optimism...and you know how much I love that. We hear about how he started out as a 4 sports star in college playing football, baseball, basketball, and running track. How he actually started his college career on a football scholarship at USC. He tells the story about their incredible comeback down 7-0 in the bottom of the 9th to the University of Minnesota, who had Dave Winfield on the mound, and winning 8-7.
