The first response of to the holiness of God is an acute awareness of personal sin. When the unholy confronts the holy we become very conscious of our own sinfulness and should be in awe of the weight of God's glory.

David is not praying in this Psalm, he is not asking God to do something for him. Rather he is rejoicing in what the Lord has done and continues to do in his life.

The God we serve is capable of defeating any of the giants in our lives as we step out in faith and fight. Beyond that, the giants we defeat today gives us confidence to fight the giants that are still ahead of us.

How did lowly Gideon do his mighty deeds defeating armies that massively out numbered his? Simple, the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, just like the Spirit of the Lord comes upon every believer.

Moses has an assignment to bring people out of slavery and into freedom. Joshua’s assignment was to bring the people of God into battle. You cannot deeply embrace freedom unless you are also engaged in the battle. If you want to see greater freedom in your life, you have to embrace the battle that God has set before you.

God’s glory is constant, and as we journey through life we will see it manifest in a variety of ways. However, there is nothing more clearly visible in seeing the glory of God than looking at the person and work of Christ.

The Old Testament Passover lamb, although a reality in that time, was a mere foreshadowing of the better and final Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ.

The cross of Christ is evidence that a good God uses bad things for our His ultimate purpose and our ultimate good. And that He is always with us along the way.

Joseph had the chance of a lifetime; the opportunity to repay evil for evil. However, his trust in God freed him to forgive.

Joseph went from rags to riches in a day. However, he never let his rise to power and influence deminish his faith in his God.

Joseph was a man who came under extreme hardship. Yet, he was determined to believe that God was with him.

The Christian life is a life of risk and reward. God rewards those who diligently seek Him.

It's possible that your worship and praise is more important than you ever expected.

From day one we see God's unconditional love towards His people. It's rooted into the creation narrative.
