Our education never really ends. We're taught lessons every day and those lessons are often accompanied by tests, opportunities to demonstrate if we've learned what we needed to learn. Today let's take a test to see how well we stack up in the area of Christian love. How can we tell that we are people of love? What is the proof? How do loving people act around other people? These verses tell us. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 describes the marks of love, and that love is primarily selfless and active in nature.

We tend to focus most on what we can see because it’s the most visible. In this first installment of Vital, we see that there is something far more important under the surface. The important, most essential function of the body is not the gifts that we see - it’s the lifeblood that we can’t see. Without it, nothing else matters.

“We share the weight and the rewards.” It’s written into the Code of Awaken Church. We've shared a lot of weight recently, but it's sacrifice that enables the celebration. This special message reminds us of our responsibility and reason to celebrate.
