When you put your faith in Jesus, you joined a family. Our job — for the rest of our lives — is to fight to maintain the unity God created through His Spirit.

Obedience is a personal decision, but it can’t stay private; it has to go public. When we let others in on our decision to obey, it provides accountability and makes it harder to go back on our decision.

When we read God’s Word, God’s Word reads us. It examines our hearts and motives, points out our failures, then brings us to a decisive moment. In this message, we learn the importance of recognizing our failures and committing to obedience.

The enemy’s ever-shifting strategy should keep us on guard, in prayer, and hard at work. He’s on the prowl and not backing down. Don’t be fearful; be faithful. He is ever-changing, but our God is never-changing.

Although Nehemiah 3 may seem to be a boring chapter with a bunch of hard-to-pronounce names, don’t skip it! Surprisingly, it may be one of the most practical passages about how God uses us as we faithfully serve next to and after one another.

After months of prayer, planning, and preparation, Nehemiah casts the vision for the task at hand, and God’s people rise up in obedience and unity. With God leading the way, we are guaranteed the victory, despite the opposition!

After months of prayer and faithfulness, the moment of truth arrived for Nehemiah to boldly approach the king. Through Nehemiah, we learn the importance of prayerfully and boldly risking it all to fulfill our God-given vision.
