Ephesians is all about our identity in Christ. In Ephesians 4, Paul is reminding us that we are to throw off the old self and put on a new self.

For the church to function well, everyone needs to be using the gifts that God has given us. If you’ve put your faith in Jesus, you have a spiritual gift that you can use to show the world Jesus is real.

Whether we like to admit it or not we have a lot in common with Herod. But the story in Matthew 2 can serve as a warning to us that we don't need to have the same outcome as Herod, but can find peace in Jesus!
