Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John Kynnoch (Navigator) – Jesse Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Jon Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin GM – Neil While enjoying a late breakfast Venari is summoned to speak with Egon. Jarnan is confused at why Venari would be having a secret meeting but lets it go and waits for the rest of the crew to arrive. Egon is quite emphatic that the problem of the tainted grain needs to be rectified within 24hrs or he will take action against the Heretics Bane and the crew. Venari explains that they have a lead on the source of the contamination and inquires about the lands to the west. Egon explains that there is nothing there and no one living out there. He also extends a potential trade arrangement in regards to the warp goo that they found on the crates. With his mood slightly soured by Egon’s not so veiled threats, Venari returns to the crew and explains that their timetable has been moved up and that the brothers are somewhat at odds. Valos (Shadow Raven) - John Decurro Laren - John Milo Sonder – Trevor GM – Jesse Milo uses his ability to far step to quickly catch up to the wagon and see how far ahead they are and then quickly heads back to Valos and Decurro. They figure the wagon is about 3-4 hours ahead at a regular walking pace. Setting off at a quick jog they are able to make good time and as they get closer they set off on one of the game trails to try and get ahead of the wagon. Using the classic log across the trail maneuver, they take up a position a little farther away and make camp. Settling in for the night Decurro takes the first watch and although he hears people he doesn’t investigate. The other watches pass uneventfully and as they set up for their ambush in the morning Milo notices that the log has been moved. Upon closer investigation they see fresh wagon tracks. Valos (Shadow Raven) - John Decurro Laren - John Milo Sonder - Trevor GM – Jesse Valos waits impatiently at the Northern gate while the artifact and the Northerners make their way out the Western gate. Realizing his mistake he quickly makes his way to the Western gate. Meanwhile Decurro is flipping apple and cabbage carts for some reason. Milo jumps down off the roof he’s on and grabs Decurro, they agree to wait for Valos as the wagon with the artifact slowly makes its way west. When Valos arrives, Milo tells them his plan. Milo has an old map of the area that shows the location of an old fort. He wants to check in with the local hunters guild to see if there are any game trails that they can mark on their map that they can use to cut off the wagon, which they assume is headed to the old fort. At the guild Decurro gets very upset that there’s a “guard” outside collecting a half bit just to get in to talk to someone. Milo pays with a gold coin, making sure to get his change and they are taken in. The

Jack Crandall – Brett Randy Anders – Kurt Erin Shaughnessy – John GM – Neil The guys enjoy a sumptuous meal and then head down to the pool to do some investigation before the ball. Unfortunately the only thing they find in the pool area is a bunch of precocious kids splashing around. The art and sculpture is mostly classical Greek in a mix of ages. On the lower level there are shops along with a staff entrance. Randy takes a quick peek behind the staff door and everything seems normal. The shops are getting ready to close so they head back upstairs to the Ball. There’s a mixed crowd enjoying the upbeat rhythms of swing jazz so Erin and Randy head to the bar while Jack takes a commanding place on the floor. He is quickly approached by the woman who had been watching he group earlier. Turns out she’s a Countess and is quite smitten by Jack’s persona. They eventually leave the Ball together. The Countess’s brother snatches Erin’s drink and heads off to a group of young debutantes and Randy follows hi

While sitting at the bar Jack surreptitiously takes some pictures of the crowd with his cell phone. Randy does a slow walk about the room, drawing the attention of some of the other patrons and Erin checks out the art trying to see if anything is amiss. After drinks the guys settle in for a sumptuous meal, on Edwards dime, and try to plan their next step. Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) GM- Tod Foley Reggie and Nash stay the night with the Aoofa. Nash takes the first watch but falls asleep, slipping into his nightmare. In the morning when Reggie wakes he notices that a few of the Aoofa are gone. He tries to ask Chief Bonbo about it and his response is to draw something on the ground. Reggie can’t quite make it out so when Nash gets up he shows him and Nash realizes that it’s a drawing of the orchids. When they check in with Tom and Duke, Tom relates that he was pinned down by some moving roots from one of the trees but is unharmed. As luck would have it they found four more orchids as well. During the course of the day there’s a bit of cultural exchange as Nash and Reggie teach the Aoofa words in English and the Aoofa teach them their language. At some point Tom calls in and says they received a distress call from Anell and they go and investigate. Winfred is dead and they were supposed to meet Mark Fourpaugh on the mountai

Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) GM- Tod Foley Tom, bewitched by the Hoom, begins to wander away from camp. Reggie quickly wakes Nash and Duke and heads after Tom. As the team begins to engage Duke gets knocked out by the Hoom while Nash and Reggie empty their magazines into it. Duke returns to the fight just as the beast goes down and jut then Winfred and Anell, the kids who threatened the group earlier, show up. It turns out she’s an explorer in training and Winfred is her first customer. They all rest for a bit and field dress the Hoom and then Nash and the crew take off in search of orchids. Later in the day as they are looking for a place to set up camp for the night Nash and Reggie spy what appears to be some sort of den that looks like it was constructed by something intelligent. Moving a little further away they set up camp and post a watch. During his watch, Nash hears something approach and begin speaking. He wakes Reggie and they discover the native sentient species

Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John Kynnoch (Navigator) – Jesse Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Jon Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin GM – Neil Kynnoch teams up with Roderick’s house psyker to try and suss out what’s happening with the Warp interference noticed on the grain. On closer inspection they notice black splotches that appear to have been sprayed onto the crate. It seems to be organic and is warp null. Scans with the auspecs can’t determine it’s molecular make up. Convinced that something is afoot, Roderick invites the crew to stay at the palace and continue the investigation. Jarnan and Venari stay while Kynnoch and Emmaus head back up to the Heretics Bane. While on the ship Kynnoch is able to sense an area of warp disturbance to the west of the city and they use the ships scanners to see if there’s anything out there. They are able to detect a natural cave system along with a dome like structure that seems to be manmade. Meanwhile, Venari spends another night of debauchery with Livinia.

Jarnan and Kynnoch try to explain what happened and Roderick berates both them and Venari but when Jarnan suggests going to inspect the grain he consents. Roderick has them taken to rooms to freshen up and wait until he can assemble his own psykers. On the ride to the fields Venari and Emmaus ride with Roderick and Venari tries to schmooze as much as possible, gaining some valuable ground. Once they reach the fields Kynnoch again tries to sense the Warp taint on the grain and notices that something is blocking the energy. Valos (Shadow Raven) - John Decurro Laren - John Milo Sonder – Trevor GM – Jesse Draggert says to give them the cargo and Milo, Valos and Decurro plan to follow the men once the cargo is unloaded. Once the gangplank is dropped the leader of the “soldiers” on the dock comes onto the ship and greets the scholar Wildil warmly. He then tells Parsons to make sure everything is unloaded to the carts waiting below and then escorts Wildil off the ship. Meanwhile Valos heads down into the town to try and convince a guardsman that soldiers from Abendon are at the port. He’s less than successful and when he goes back to the ship one of the men tries to stop him……unsuccessfully. When the artifact is unloaded the men on the dock begin to move. Decurro disappears into the shadows and Milo uses his jumping ability to take to the rooftops grabbing a birds eye view of the caravan. Valos on the other hand is spotted and looses sight of the caravan, making his way to the wrong gate. Instead of heading out the North Gat

During the journey Milo, Decurro and Valos discuss how best to proceed with the artifact. They finally decide to leave it at Valos’s family’s farm and make the trip up to see Commander Moran. The trip to South Port is uneventful until they dock. As they are discussing how to best proceed, Decurro notices about a half a dozen men in the crowd approaching the ship who have a military bearing. Valos approaches Parsons, the “former” captain of the ship they are currently on, and tells him to call off the men on the dock.
