We visit the Cross of Authenticity. Sometimes we struggle to be our authentic selves. We fail to embrace our true selves as created by God. We doubt our acceptance, we doubt our successes, we fear we will be exposed as a fraud. Nicodemus must have had some of the same fears when it came to following Jesus. Today in Our Worship- We enjoy our last week of "CUMC You at the Movies" by gleaning wisdom from The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. What a fun time we've had during these crazy winter days. Today we conclude by exploring the concept of escape. Walter escaped from life through day dreams, many of us find ways to escape life. When we find the courage to face life and risk it, we find that we no longer need to escape, but with God's grace can embrace life and bravely be our true selves. Support the show

Childhood memories are more than reflections on the past. They are projections of the future. What we remember, what we experienced and what we share with our children are powerful forces in our life. Maybe that is why Jesus took time with children.
