In the Kingdom, some people receive more than others. In the Kingdom, some people know Jesus deeper. In the Kingdom, some people experience greater things. Often, the difference between those who experience ALL God has for them and those who live a limited Christian life is they don’t truly believe they are a very qualified candidate for the miraculous. Whatever you eat, that’s what you’ll be hungry for. In other words, you develop your own appetite. If you always eat a particular item, your body will crave it. Our current suffering or setbacks can lead to eternal hope. Even in death, with Jesus, we have been given a greater blessing. In short, we win either way. Life can be hard and it comes at us fast. At times, it can be overwhelming and we feel like we don’t belong. And while it is true that our citizenship is in heaven, God put us here on purpose for a purpose. The Bible calls believers, Ambassadors. The Bible informs us first of our assignment and beliefs, not famous people, not politicians, not pop culture, not your coworkers, not always your family, and not always your neighbors. You have a reason to be here. It’s time to get in the game. You can know the Bible and not love the Bible. If you don’t live the Bible, you don’t love God. We don’t just read the Bible, we have a relationship with it. The deeper your relationship with the WORD, you develop a Biblical worldview. Without one, you will only be a cultural Christian, being aware there is truth but denying its power. There might not be monsters in our kids' closets, but there certainly are demons moving about the earth. In this life, you have to turn the lights on and address what seems scary and overwhelming. This is exactly what God’s Word does for us. The Bible is like turning on a light within us, revealing what’s ugly and what needs to change. It also spotlights and brings clarity to our culture as well as the darkness lurking. The truth is, Christians are called to serve like Jesus. Truthfully, when it comes to the church, it isn’t JUST the pastors or the staff. The church is “owned” by no one. However, it is meant to be loved, grown, and cared for by her people. There are no stock options, the pastors don’t own the buildings, and the staff shouldn’t bear the entire responsibility (emotionally and physically) of the welfare of the church.
