Sarah Crouch Sarah grew up with parents and 3 siblings in Hockinson, Washington. She won a state championship while her sister finished second. Sarah graduated and left for Western Washington University in 2007. While at Western Washington University, Sarah rewrote the record books claiming new marks in the indoor 1,500, mile, DMR, 3,000 and 5,000 and in the outdoor 1,500, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000. She was also the Division Two National Cross Country runner-up in 2009 and 2010 and was the NCAA D II Champion in the 10,000 in 2011, breaking a 24 year old national meet record in the process. She placed second in her debut marathon in 2011, with a time 2:27:03 and just recently took 5 minutes off of that PR placing 3rd in the 2018 Tokyo Marathon running the 5th fastest time in US History, 2:21:42. In 2012, Amy finished fourth at the U.S. marathon trials, one place out of a team spot, but months later won the Olympic Trials 10,000-meter race.
