One of the hottest hip-hop artists in the game, Mike Stud joins us to talk about his baseball career. From Gatorade Player of the Year in Rhode Island, to setting the Duke University record for 1.61 season ERA, he lived the baseball dream until his elbow required Tommy John surgery. During his time off he started writing music, starting with "College Humor" that was viewed 1.5 million times. This episode I'm joined by Heather Minor and Robert Hansen, who tell the story about Robert's ball playing career and his battle with the YIPS. Robert was drafted by the Cardinals out of high school, and chose to go on to play at Vanderbilt University. His playing career quickly hit a road block when he started suffering from the YIPS, a condition that suddenly affects athletes motor skills and ability to perform. WOW Game 1 of the World Series was one for the ages. It saw 38 position players and 13 pitchers used, and went down as the longest game in World Series history. Let's talk my hatred but appreciation for Alex Gordon and Eric Hosmer. My extra inning rule should be put into MLB rules immediately. Juliana Zobrist is the greatest baseball wife of all time. We almost got to watch a playoff baseball game with no Joe Buck, then got blue balled. Both bullpens are completely tapped already. Stop wearing gloves to baseball games, and stop sipping on the same beer for 5 innings.

NLCS has wrapped up and it's officially World Series time! The Mets put a serious hurting on the Cubs, the Royals small balled the Blue Jays all the way home, and we're jsut days out from the Fall Classic. Oh, and replay still sucks, the Wrigley Ivy ground rule double needs to change and #CleanItUpVentura is our new hashtag.

The ALCS and NLCS are setting up to be only 9 games long total, and I'm not happy about it. The World Series is right around the corner and I'm not sure I'm ready for baseball to be over with yet. The Jays are killing me, the Mets own the Cubs, the Royals are smacking the best offense in baseball, and I might be coming to party with some of you.

Game 5 of the ALDS between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays contained a 7th inning that will go down as the craziest inning in baseball history. Major League Baseball handed down a 2 game suspension for Dodgers Chase Utley for his hard slide into second base in Game 2 of the NLDS between Mets and Dodgers. Utley's slide resulted in a broken leg for Mets SS Ruben Tejada. This is the first time a suspension has been handed down for such a play, but the MLB got this one right.

Shane Sullivan tells the story of how the Baseball Fam Podcast began. It all started in 2011 with a joking Twitter account ShtBallPlayrsDo. From the creation of the popular "cleatchaser" logo, it quickly grew into multiple website ventures bringing together baseball players and fans in the most unique way. baseballfam.com was then created in August 2015 with nearly 100,000 views in the first month of it's launch. Finally, the Baseball Fam Podcast was born. Baseball Fam Podcast and baseballfam.com are places with content created by true ball players, high school, college, and professional athletes with a genuine passion for the sport and Major League Baseball (MLB).
