Moses was many things to Israel, and none more important than being a mediator between them and God. Jesus is a far greater mediator between God and us. Because of him, we can be reconciled to God as adopted children.

The pursuit of pleasure and success is a pervasive goal for modern-day Americans. Yet Solomon says that even when you achieve it, you have nothing. The Apostle Paul has a different message about being content irrespective of circumstances.

This week, the Ecclesiastes passage is on money and wealth. If that's what you are pursuing, you will never be satisfied. Philippians has a different message for us, one that tells us we have something to gain worth more than all the money in the world.
