Luke Chapter 3 traces the genealogy of Jesus Christ and we see how God’s perfect plan continues to unfold in the life of His son. Luke 3:23-38.

Why was Jesus baptized? After all, he led a sinless life and had no need for repentance. Pastor Keith shares the reasons Jesus was baptized by John as He began his earthly ministry. Luke 3:21-22

John the Baptist’s ministry was pointing people to the saving power of Jesus Christ. He made it clear that he was not the Messiah. Even in the face of death he shared the truth of God’s plan. He humbly stated, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Luke 3:15-20

The Hebrew people are set apart to usher in the Messiah. However, some Jews reject Christ and hold closely to religious traditions. The Letter to the Hebrews (by an unknown author) was written to stir Jews to pay closer attention and consider carefully the good news about Christ. They are exhorted to believe, reject religious traditions, listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and believe on Christ. After all, Jesus is better than everything.
