In fact the grace of Christ produces three kinds of Fire: Material, Spiritual, and Metaphorical. All three are spoken of in many places in the Scriptures. It does not help us if we confuse them. After leading prayers in our 2nd online service for Peace this morning, I felt quite exercised in my spirit to publish further thought concerning a prayer strategy that works, that I am personally finding easy to pursue, with authority, in the Holy Spirit. This is an effective yet simple prayer strategy for dealing with the Coronavirus Pandemic in any region.

On the Eve of Major COVID-19 Restrictions, John Alley talks about Providence and Protection, both for people individually and corporately. Epiphany! On Epiphany, Christians all around the world celebrate the bringing of the Gospel to the Gentiles (which is the majority of the world.) Epiphany is celebrated in a variety of different ways - toy babies in cakes being just one example- but it all rejoices at the extension of the kingdom of Christ into the world; a kingdom which is growing year by yeqar through the work of Christians in the world. As Christians, our vision is to see the Gospel preached to all nations, in order that God's desire, since the very beginning, of reconciliation for all people be fulfilled.

Pslam 45:1 My heart overflows with a pleasing theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe. Psalms 45:1 ESV We all have a purpose, God is the one who has placed it in us, and he is the one who looks after it. He is also the person who our purpose should glorify. Our purpose is linked to his calling, to his glory. We are created at birth with purpose, with 'themes' inside us that bubble out when we recognise it. "Out of its cowness, a cow moos." The creator has planted gifts and abilities inside his creation, which are used to his glory. Invest in the abilities that you are given, and seek to use them to glorify God. So how do you Identify purpose? Ask yourself: 1. What makes you come alive? 2. What truly fulfils you? 3. Where have you been fruitful? 4. What makes you furious?

The Bible has much to say about gifts, and the book of Corinthians describes spiritual gifts given by God to people, for the benefit of other people. But in the book of Ephesians it talks of other gifts, and these gifts are people themselves. We are talking about apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists. Those in ministry are gifts to the body of Christ. Taking this one step further, because we the people of peace have been called into this apostolic call, along with John Alley, we also are a gift to the body of Christ. So given that our lives are to bless others, we should be mindful of how we live, how we love one another, of our support for the apostolic message. Let us resolve to pray, to be involved in every activity our church does, to listen to John Alley and put into practice what he shares, and to love other Christians. In doing these things, we will enhance the gift of our lives that is given to the Body of Christ and bring glory to God.

Can a sin be unforgivable? Sometimes it seems like there are some sins that we will never be free of. These are the sins that we continue to struggle with year after year. The truth is that even these sins can be forgiven and you can find healing. Secret sins have power because they are locked into place with Shame, which is one of the reasons why Christians are instructed to 'confess your faults one to another, that you might be healed.' Part of the process of overcoming a habitual sin is trusting someone else with it and allowing them to pray with you.

Gift giving is a prominent part of Christmas traditions, and we are all familiar with the Bible story of the Wise Men Giving Gifts to the baby Jesus. But the real gift at Christmas is that of Christ given to us. God gives of himself, and so God is both the giver and the gift. In light of God's great gift, what will your gift be in return? He deserves nothing less than our all, and yet even that is not sufficient a gift for the King of Kings.
