How do we keep contending for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven without giving up in the process? All of us love to hear and share good news. In Luke chapter 2, the Christmas story is referred to as good news and the result of hearing it brings great joy. The good news of Jesus is so much greater than anything else and it permanently produces joy both now and forevermore. Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was and He responded by saying, “Love God and love others.” Right after Jesus said these words, He showed His disciples what loving God looked like by highlighting a widow who gave all that she had to God through her temple offering. What happens when you die? Christians believe what Jesus taught concerning resurrection and this causes us to live each day with hope for tomorrow.
