No Time For Trolls

Talking about Trump, the Corona virus and why many Republicans are voting in open primaries for the Dem candidate they think could be most easily defeated by Trump: Bernie ‘Castro did some good things’ Sanders.

It’s not promising for American democracy that an emboldened criminal President can hold out to all criminals the hope that they can buy their way out of legal consequences.

Bernie’s candidacy would lose Dems the House majority, and the hope of a Senate majority. And consequently, losing Dems the ability to enact any legislation. Because Republicans do not act at all in the public interest.

It’s ok to look around and see which candidates / and which narrative lines are popular with the demographics needed to win over battleground state voters.

As someone else said ‘they are going to ride this thing until the wheels come off.’ And today, 4 brave DOJ prosecutors resigned from Roger Stone’s case, because Barr’s DOJ is one of those wheels.

Trump fires Lieutenant Colonel Vindman and also his twin brother, Evgeny Vindman, in a illegal act of retaliation against a witness. Republicans are essentially a national security threat. Sounds hyperbolic but it’s true.

Uterine fibroids are associated with use of chemical hair straighteners, people need to talk about it. Also, spoiler candidates - they are bad for democracy, and yet people are overlooking the risks.

No witnesses and no documents. This is what the GOP voted for and it was more (briefly) soul crushing than many of us anticipated. Not even 4 decent Republican Senators? No..because letting the public see the evidence would expose their party too much.

The difference between ‘nepotism’ (Jared & Ivanka bypassing negative security assessments & being directly appointed to US govt positions by a relative) and ‘benefiting from association’ ie lawyer Hunter Biden being appointed by non-relatives to a Ukrainian position.

Trump has a cult following, so it can sometimes help to talk about the corruption of *other* people in the GOP, without mentioning Trump. We can use Twitter to directly ask journalists to report on Pompeo’s misconduct etc.

Can men imaginatively sympathise with the idea of intrusive and legislatively mandated Transvaginal ultrasounds for women seeking to exercise reproductive choice, after an unintended pregnancy? Yes. So let’s build alliances.
