Spotify recently announced their $1 Billion dollar IPO. Spotify holds the most paid subscribers, in comparison to Apple Music, Tidal, and other competing services. This news makes me think about what would happen if Jay-Z's Tidal had enough subscribers to launch an IPO. Imagine the advantage that would give Hip-Hop, having one of our own in charge of a public streaming company.
