Monica Valli has been playing the guitar since she was 8 years old. She put it down for 6 years but then picked it back up around 14 (possibly because of Bon Jovi) and has never put it back down. She's toured around the country as a touring guitarist for years, but just in the last two years she's started to put her own music out into the world. Her most recent single "Turns Out It Wasn't Me" came out just a couple of months ago, and she's planning on releasing new music soon. She was nice enough to come on the show and talk about her career up to this point. The Butthole Surfers started way back in 1981 with Gibby Haynes and Paul Leary started a band. They quickly grew a reputation in Texas and throughout the country as one of the most provocative and outlandish bands in the country. They had a massive influence on contemporary artists like Kurt Cobain, White Zombie, and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Lou Gramm has been known as the voice of Foreigner for 50 years. He joined the band in 1976 after leaving the band Black Sheep. All of their first eight singles were in the top 20. Alex Kilroy has not had a short ride to get to his first album. He started off playing piano in Romania, dreaming of America. He switched from piano to guitar when he found a DVD of Stevie Ray Vaughan. He created a Stevie Ray Vaughan cover band and traveled around Europe. He went to Berklee College for a summer program. He worked way around the blues circuit in Chicago, he went back to Romania a couple of times, he went to Nashville, he played around on Broadway.
