His father, NFL pioneer Jim Tyrer, was physically larger than life - 6’6" and 300 pounds. And, he was as quick on his feet as he was big. His football resume was impressive. Jim played in the first Super Bowl and won in Super Bowl IV. He was an All-Pro Lineman for 9 years. This week, as Brad sits down with Kurt and Chad, he tells how his idyllic childhood took a tragic turn on September 15, 1980, and how his life would never be the same. Brad went on to make a name for himself as a linebacker for Tom Osborne at Nebraska. There’s an active shooter inside of a public place and you’re one of the first ones on the scene as a police officer. You have a job to do, and going in the building is part of that job. Amos Martin played in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings (he has three Super Bowl rings to show for it!) and Ted Schulz played golf on the PGA tour, where he won several tournaments. Both men are University of Louisville Hall of Famers. They have great stories about their respective sports, but they also share what’s the most important thing in their lives - their faith.
