Re-uploaded mix for Motif's podcast from 31/03/20 "To keep up with the recent overflow of amazing music we've all been gifted since the COVID-19 virus has forced us into Isolation - there no better time to release our latest podcast put together by the one & only SOMA. A collection of funky house & bouncy rollers perfect for bouncing around your living room/garden sinking a few beers... Enjoy" . Another lockdown podcast. It was summertime in Sydney, and I was able to spend some time outside in a kids inflatable pool, enjoying the sunshine, having a few drinks, and listening to music. This mix reflects that sun-drenched time and includes a special track from a very close friend and very talented producer, @jordanjamesmusic. Lots of uplifting house vibes to soak up. Reuploaded mix for Umaricast from 6.08.21 I had just released my remix of good friend Jozef Conor's track 'Be Right There'. I was playing it out in my sets and was super happy with how it worked in the right placement. I built this mix for Umari to set up a steady vibe to then finish the mix with it. Looking back, it showcases a lot of the musical influences and inspiration I was soaking up at the time that went into the remix. Reuploaded my Red Bull Music Academy application mini mix from 2019. Part of an unsuccessful application I put forward for the Red Bull Music Academy (surely the acceptance was just lost in the post). Trying to create an engaging musical narrative in a short 30-minute mix was a challenge but listening back, I like where it goes in this constrained format. Tracklisting: Linkwood Family - Miles Away (Intrusion Sunset Dub) Canson - Bleeding Stars Dominik Eulberg - Der Tanz der Gluehwuermchen (Kollektiv Turmstrasse's Dirt Glow Remix) ASOK - Interaction Trinity - Cascade Drive Jonas Woehl - Breathe (iami Remix)

~Driftcast017~~ August 2024 SOMA offers an evolving exploration of sounds ranging from moody minimal through dub-tinged house cuts through more raw tech-styled tracks. Hailing from Sydney but no stranger to Adelaide, SOMA has spun across a variety of parties, festivals, and club events over the years. He’s run his own parties across the Comfort Club brand and released a few productions on close friend’s label Jozzman Trax from Melbourne. These days SOMA isn’t quite the clubrat he used to be but still has a deep-seated passion for discovering, mixing, and making his own blend of euphoria blessed deep and dubby house music. This mix sits perfectly for a rainy afternoon, enveloping you slowly before lifting off into the stratosphere. Follow Orbital Drift: instagram.com/orbital_drift/

Have been listening to some more spacey ambient, deep, duby sounds of late. Saw a post pop up on the @decodedmagazine page about their monthly DJ comp, which gave me an excuse to mix them together. Take a listen, perfect for a stroll by the ocean, late-night kitchen conversation backing track or pre-drinks launching pad.

Here we are again and this time we come back w/ @soma_music_ driving our #microsession 056. From Australia, he soaks up a diverse array of influences and channels them into his creative output. The result is a complex, duby, deep and spacious house driven sound that ventures and evolves through a euphoric soundscape. #WeAreGrounder @wearegrounder Instagram: instagram.com/wearegrounder/ Facebook: www.facebook.com/estamosgrounder Mixcloud: mixcloud.com/WeAreGrounder/
