Almost certainly the greatest music magazine of all time. Now, in your ears too. From breaking buzz bands to festival headliners, DIY are at the heart of music in the UK. With a monthly print magazine (and website, obv), hosting gigs, tours and festival stages nationwide, who better than to take you into the thick of it, from dressing room to stage with your faves. Every month once the issue is off to the printers, we sit back, crack out the microphones and gin, bring you exclusive interviews from the month, all the stories that made the issue happen and what's been going on in DIY's world. On this feed we'll also bring you some special episodes recorded by the DIY Magazine team wherever we end up. It's rough, it's ready, it's a wee bit rowdy.

  • Anything But... with Sad13

    Anything But... with Sad13

    29/07/2017 Duração: 17min

Anything But… with Sadie Dupuis! Sadie Dupuis is a busy bee. Along with fronting the ever-ace Speedy Ortiz, she’s also at the helm of the banger-central pop colo project Sad13, and has been touring all over the place with both bands. But anyway, enough about that - on Anything But… music is a BANNED topic. Instead, Sadie met up with DIY’s El Hunt in Brighton to discuss horoscopes, vegan food, and which solid British traditions ‘Get A Yes’ from her. Metronomy also tell Will why they may just not turn up to headline their stage, plus we have a SUPER-interview with not just Marika Hackman but also Blaenavon - who are saying plenty of things that may make their management squirm! It's been a long weekend... Enjoy! #glastonbury #music #feativals #frankcarter #metronomy #marikahackman #blaenavon #uk

  • Anything But... with Hers

    Anything But... with Her's

    12/06/2017 Duração: 17min

In our new audio series 'Anything but...' El Hunt, the boss of bizarre lines of enquiry and DIY magazine's features editor, really gets to know some of her favourite acts, by not uttering a word about the music (well until she gets distracted and forgets, feel free to tweet us if you feel aggrieved about that) and records it for your pleasure. In this episode El is joined by Stephen and Audun of two piece Liverpool jangly-indie pop sensations Her's (or 'international supersonic spectral wave band', as they define themselves). The plan is not to talk about music and they do get close, but manage to divert to chats about dream farms, Travelodge groundhog days, Norway day spent in a van and some home improvement success stories. Get to know Her's in a totally different way, enjoy. Her's debut LP 'Songs of Her's' is out now!
