The guys wanted more youth in those spots, but with Mike McCarthy being 62, he didn’t actually lie about getting guys younger than him. It looks like, based on personal bios, Angelichio doesn’t have a family and is married to football. The guys also got into the hiring of Joe Whitt Jr., who has been working in the NFL since his late 20’s. Big Game Trivia. Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike said any time you have an offensive coach connected to Kevin O’Connell, it’s not a bad thing. He called the Brian Angelichio hiring ‘encouraging’ even though the plays will be called by Mike McCarthy. Speaking of the Vikings, with the change at GM, Mike doesn’t think we can rule out Aaron Rodgers finally ending up in Minnesota. Mike just cannot see Rodgers being done in the NFL with his final throw being a pick six. Mike was interrupted mid-interview by Justin Jefferson. Mike talked about the way Rodgers has to change his game and adapt at this point in his career.
