Sinopse
Two neighbors separated by a courtyard and cruel circumstance exchange letters that serve as their only lifeline. They chronicle their daily humiliations with a quiet grace, trying to shield one another from the brutality of their poverty. Their devotion shines brightly even as the walls of destitution close in around them. A deeply moving tragedy of small lives crushed by a cold city.
