This week Jay and Ben discuss the recent provincial mandate, removing all rental restrictions from buildings in British Columbia. Stratus can still decide if short term rentals are allowed, but gone are the days of “absolutely no rentals in my strata”! Additionally, 19+ age restrictive buildings have also been abolished now specifically only allowing for 55+ age restrictions in Stratus. Will these rental changes assist with the current rental shortage in Vancouver? Was this a good idea, a bad idea?
