Dogs are the best. They are called man's (or woman's) best friend for a reason. They offer unconditional love. They cheer you up when you are sad. And while they do occasionally leave special gifts in the house, they always seem sorry for it when you show them that you do not appreciate the gift on the living room carpet. I have also discovered that my new Chihuahua (BTW, who is not a yipper or yapper) Fievel Akiva Downey is teaching me invaluable spiritual lessons.
