I had been doing "fascia work" for years before I knew what it was. I first learned about fascia about five years ago, but have been "working" it for about twenty going back to an injury that was diagnosed as a herniated disc at the L5/S1 juncture. (A reminder: I'm not a medical professional, this is just my experience.) When I had the injury, I was bedridden for three months and daily physical therapy wasn't helping. So I looked within and used my intuition to heal myself. It was only when I did much longer, deeper hours of physical therapy that I began to see relief, which is characteristic of fascia because it is so much stronger than muscles.First though, what is fascia?
