The Pirates have signed Mike Clevinger, who pitched in the World Series back in 2016 as a rookie. He was a good starter before COVID, but since then, not so much. The guys don’t think he will factor into their future plans after signing a minor league deal. Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Pirates have their eyes on Framber Valdez, who is the biggest pitcher still on the market. Do they really have a shot at him though? Poni doesn’t think the Pirates will be sellers at the deadline this season. Is there a better park for left-handed pitchers than PNC?
