Purpose Statement: Jude wanted to write to people about our faith in Jesus Christ, however, he wrote about a sound warning about those who were in the body and were a spiritual threat. Jude encourages the faithful to hold fast to the Word of God in changing times. Jude considers himself a servant of God. Jude, who was raised in the same home as Jesus, knew his brother. Eventually he knew Jesus as Messiah, his master, who he was devoted to as a servant-slave. (John 7: 2-5). Jude writes eagerly about a common salvation and to contend for the faith. What is it to be a Christian? Do we have a reenactment of Sodom and Gomorrah? What would happen without the church? Will we invest on the front end?
