Josie Ravenwing was one of the very first guides to John of God when Abadiania, the town in Brazil where he resides, was still not even on the maps. Back before the word “shaman” entered the popular American lexicon, Josie was living with the Navajo, who had recognized and validated her abilities, and with whom she resided for five years. Her medicine path eventually led her to Brazil, after she heard about the miracles connected to the man known as John of God.
