Brad read a book about buying real estate when he was in the 9th grade and has been passionate about it ever since. Real estate investing specifically piqued his interest in 2002 when an investor bought his neighbor's house, renovated it, and sold it. When he learned that it was possible to buy, fix and sell homes, he decided that it was time to start a business doing just that. Brad spent 8 long months working nights and weekends on his real estate investing business networking, hand-addressing hundreds of letters, driving for dollars, and putting out door hangers, without any deals. Finally, in July of 2003, he got a call from a realtor about a foreclosure in Manassas, VA, and bought his first investment home. After buying six more houses over the next two months, he quit his full-time job and founded Express Homebuyers in October of that year.
