This week we focus yet again on another tax increase from the government down to developers of new homes. They are focusing a lot on their "Build More, Get More" strategy that the more they increase the on building, there money they will make... Again, this is a little backwards from the current narrative of more density, more density, more density...... But can we really expect any level of the gov not to have their hands out when there is movement in the largest GDP contributor in the country?? I guess not... I think a large part of the current issue is all levels of government are on different pages and have different motivations. From the Federal Level trying to give out their 4 billion dollar housing accelerator fund with strings attached as you can imagine, the provinces threatening the municipalities to get people to build more or else & finally the municipalities biting the hand that feeds them by not listening to the feds tell them not to raise taxes and in turn pulling said funding from the acc
