Are there children sleeping on the floor in your town? According to statistics, 3% of the children's population in the U.S. have no beds. Not just in low income areas, but also among what is considered mid to high income areas. That shocked Luke Mickelson and he decided to do something about it. Luke is the founder and executive director of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering handmade, fully furnished bunk beds to needy children. To date, Sleep in Heavenly Peace has delivered over 140,000 beds, and has grown to include 300 chapters in 4 countries with 276,000 volunteers.
