Deacon Randy Kiel is familiar to many of us in Des Moines. He has a counseling practice known as Kardia Counseling. He also is heard every Thursday morning on Jon Leonetti in the morning. But what you may not know is that he always wanted to be a State Fair carney. He operates the Wax Hands booth for the past 13 years at the Iowa State Fair. Shannon Evans was planning to do amazing things for God. As a newlywed and just out of college, she and her husband became missionaries in Indonesia. With grand ideas of how she was going to make lives better, Shannon soon realized her limitations. Through contemplation of suffering, she came upon Catholic teaching on suffering that was new truth to her. Together with her husband, they converted from Evangelical protestant to Catholicism. L'Arche has grown into a worldwide movement dedicated to bringing men and women with disabilities into the heart of their societies, making their voices heard, and providing a true home to share everyone's unique gifts to the fullest. Pietro gives us a view of the life and dreams of persons with intellectual disabilities and the community is family oriented. And it is said that the teacher can become the pupil. Fr. Chris Seith is a priest in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC. He studied at the North American College in Rome and was ordained in 2014. We chatted about the feminine genius from a priestly perspective, particularly how the feminine gift of receptivity supports our priests. Midway in the show, the complementary role of femininity and masculinity was discussed as a great source of healing in the church today. We concluded with Fr. How 12 women in the 1960s were able to influence the western world with the ideology of Marxism egalitarianism to create an illusion of happiness equated with being exactly like men. The premise that nature can be changed is debunked by Dr. Gress. NOTE: men and women are equal in dignity. Through scripture basis, Dr. Carre Gress has identified an anti-Mary spirit in our culture which tears down our true femininity as created images of God.
