Concluding the series on healthy relational bonds(attachments) that produce spiritual growth and maturity, we will consider the last 7 of the twelve facets of healthy attachments from Dr. Jim Wilder's book, "Renovated." These seven are: 6. Mutual Mind 7. Strengthened by moving both closer and apart 8. Handles both pleasant and unpleasant emotions relationally 9. Helps us stably be ourselves 10. We feel both connected and free 11. Stretches us to grow and 12. Creates an identity group(my people).

Continuing the focus on healthy relational bonds(attachments) that produce spiritual growth and maturity, we will consider the first five of twelve facets of healthy attachments from Dr. Jim Wilder's book, "Renovated." These five are: 1. Provide nourishment 2. Are unique and individual 3. Special and personal 4. Produce Joy and 5. Foster peace.

In Psalm 23 David writes, "The Lord is my shepherd..." This declaration and this reality is foundational to all that follows related to what it means or what are the benefits of being a sheep under the Good Shepherd's care. What does it mean that the Lord is my shepherd? Among other things it means that I am relationally bonded to him. It is through this bond (or relationship) that all my needs are met. It is through this bond and bonds like it with other sheep that I am spiritually formed. This is the focus of this three part series. We will unpack the nature of the kinds of relationships that produce flourishing growth in us as followers of Christ.

Psalm 51 is King David's cry of humble repentance after he was confronted for his sin with Bathsheba by the prophet Nathan. "Create in me a clean heart," David cries, "and renew a right spirit within me."

Psalm 19 is a key chapter in the book of Psalms. Poetically beautiful and profoundly insightful, the psalm describes the revelation of God through creation and through God's "word" or "torah." This descriptive psalm ends with a prescriptive response that leaves the reader without a doubt as to what humanity's response to God's revelation should be.

The Psalms are the prayerbook and songbook for the people of God, who are seeking to live faithfully under the law of God, while looking forward to and presently living in the Kingdom of Heaven, under the now and not yet gracious rule of the King of Heaven.
