Chrissy started working with dogs as a kennel attendant in 1986 as part of her Animal Science program at an Agricultural High School and fell in love with grooming and training. Chrissy is a Certified Professional Groomer through International Professional Groomers, Certified Behavior Consultant for Canines and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Chrissy started Happy Critters in 2000, providing house call grooming and private dog training. From there started the Creating Great Grooming Dogs podcast in October of 2018. It's the podcast where grooming and training meet. Chrissy’s mission to help passionate groomers, trainers, vets, vet techs, owners, and all other dog pros to help dogs be good for grooming, vet visits, and other types of husbandry.

Dr. Sacheen Mobley is the Creatrix-in-Chief of Living and Loving Your Best, LLC. Dr. Sacheen writes, speaks, teaches and coaches on the topics of finding your purpose,communication, and life after divorce. She has written several webinars and e-books and has been a teacher for over 15 years. She has been published in several magazines including Spiritual Badassand The Spiritual Entrepreneur. Dara got her start in 1999 when she attended the Nash Academy in Lexington, Kentucky. She then went on to earn her BA for Business Management from Ottawa University. ​ Sh owned Dara’s Paw Spaw and now runs The Whole Pet Grooming Academy, which is a holistic based grooming school. I love her for that. Dara offers twice yearly business retreats.

I went back to school close to the end of my retirement as a way to make sure I could continue working in a field that was animal related, and that would provide a helping hand to my previous work colleagues. So, I dove in intensively to understand why we cause ourselves to Burn Out or develop Compassion Fatigue, and I mostly discovered that as hard as we try to make ourselves on the outside, we wear our hearts on our sleeves most days. . Delise Knight has been in the pet industry for over 40 years. Delise started her career in the pet industry by working in a pet store and showing dogs. Delise and her business partner later opened the first all in one location with veterinarian, pet store and a grooming salon. Delise owned a very successful grooming salon for many years. She saw a need for high-quality, fun and functional grooming accessories, and knew she could produce a product that groomers would love. Delise and her Mother Barbara stated the company Bardel Bows in 1989. Delise is passionate about the importance of education, and love sharing her knowledge with other groomers.

So many of know Barb from the Groomers Lounge. But did you know she is an accomplished speaker and author of Grooming The Difficult Dog. This must have book was winner of the 2018 Barkleigh Honors Book Of The Year.

Chris has been in the industry since she was 15. A leader in the holistic pet grooming movement and on the board of the Association Of Holistic Pet Professionals, as well as on the forefront of the helping states organize their own own grooming associations via National Alliance of Grooming Associations. Chris is untiring force when its comes to educating pet groomers.

Judy has been in the pet industry since the 70’s. And has done it all: boarding and daycare, groomer, judge, speaker, vendor, trade show director, heading up an association. It might be a shorter list to say what she hasn’t done in and for the industry.

Beth is my longest running friend in the pet industry. We met when she was paired with me at corporate as my mentor. We have traveled together as speakers for the pet industry and were two of the earliest mobile groomers. We recently paired to write The Mobile Groomers Bible, a half century of mobile grooming experience.

Lori Monian. Lori embodies the phoenix. She rises from the ashes to be better than she was before. Nothing stands in her way, not Stage 4 Lung Cancer, nor the Paradise Fires.

We all have obstacles to overcome, but being able to come back from the dead 6 times is truly badass. Anjie is living the dream of her own successful shop and is a marketing genius. We expect great things from her and she will be featured on the Pet Groomer Town Hall this May!

Laura Civello Hearn is the author of the most complete book ever on House Call grooming: A Practical Guide To Housecall Grooming. In addition, Laura speaks at many professional pet industry conferences, as well as is involved in NYS Grooming Association. Her facebook group, House Call grooming is for those groomers who are interested in house call grooming and want to network with like professionals.

Sandy Gyorgi is the owner of ShowSeasons. Sandy truly cares about groomers and it’s evident in her products and her partnerships with groomers. Her tent sale, the day before Atlanta Pet Fair, is the place to be. Sandy has vendors, super specials, and some of the best in the industry for casual, but informative lectures and demos.
