Patsy Brooks-Tallant, MPS MeritusPatsy began her pet styling career in 1978, while showing Miniature Poodles. After finishing college, she worked in various parts of the industry, including veterinary clinics, small and large salons including corporate, In 1995 she opened her own grooming salon, which has evolved into two salon’s and 2 mobile units. Both units have a waiting lists to become a client. Her routes are very well organized with all clients being on a standing schedule and she can't wait to share her years of studying Mobile grooming and the techniques she has implemented to make her Mobiles so successful. Sandy Blackburn has been grooming for 23 years. Started up as a new mom who wanted to be home with her kids but still make an income. For over twenty-five years Kathy bred and showed Top Winning, Number One, fancy, schmancy French Bulldogs. As you know, show dogs have to look and feel great to bring home the big ribbons and French Bullodgs are notorious for having dry, crusty noses. There was nothing available for dog noses and the suggested options were full of petroleum by-products or didn't work. The wheels began to turn...One day, back in 2001, as she was slathering shea butter on her legs and two of her French Bulldogs rushed over to see if she had something for them to eat. Instead she dabbed some shea butter on their noses. Within two days they had soft, smooth noses.The light bulb went off, she shouted “Eureka!” and The Blissful Dog was born.

Bobbie is a National Certified Master Groomer with more than 16 years in the industry. She is a former PACFA Representative for the state of Colorado, the current NAGA contact for the state of South Dakota. Bobbie is Canine Emotion and Cognition Certified from Duke University, Infectious Disease Management Certified from AAHA, Animal Reiki Practitioner and Pet First Aid and CPR certified. She currently helps groomers who are interested in national certification find the right tools and agencies for them. I love what I do everyday, and aim to help positively grow and strengthen our industry.

Michelle began her journey on the road to be a veterinarian. She  was accepted at Purdue University veterinary program and began her pre-vet studies. While you are in school, the college likes to see that you are actively working with animals so she got a job with the Indianapolis Zoo. Michelle worked in the plains section with Giraffes, Elephants, Wallabies and herd animals. Then  had a short job in a research facility where she worked with rats. Michelle soon found out that she didn’t have the heart to do the things she needed to learn how to be a vet. Michelle couldn’t bring herself to poke or cut a living creature.She had some friends that were really into grooming and decided to learn all she could about the profession. Michelle read all 98 titles on grooming in the public library in one weekend and began her grooming career taking in strays, grooming them and finding them homes. L April Williams started her career as a professional dog groomer in 2006, opening her own salon in 2014. She regularly participates in continuing education and actively believes in growing relationships with other groomers. In late 2019, April began launching her second business, Higher Vibration Designs, a website and graphic design company. She plans to grow this business and reduce dog grooming to a hobby business over the next decade.

River has worked professionally in the pet industry since 2006, she has been a dog trainer, doggy daycare manager, grooming salon owner and is now a Certified Feline Master Groomer running a feline exclusive mobile grooming business. River founded The Savvy Groomer, an online resource for pet professionals. She offers private and group business coaching specializing in niche business models like feline exclusive, memberships and mobile. Nicole Kallish is a Certified Master Groomer and the Global Education Manager at Andis Company. Nicole attended the Academy of Dog Grooming Arts and ran a successful mobile grooming business for six years in Illinois and Florida followed by opening a shop that she owned for 5 years. Nicole had worked her way up the ranks in the contest ring earning many 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements in entry and intermediate levels, including best groomed dog in Level 2 in 2008. She received her first “group” placement at the All American Grooming Show in 2011. Nicole won the title of “Rising Star of the Year” at Intergroom in New Jersey in 2013 and moved on to the “open” or “expert” level.
