As you know, show dogs have to look and feel great to bring home the big ribbons and French Bullodgs are notorious for having dry, crusty noses. There was nothing available for dog noses and the suggested options were full of petroleum by-products or didn't work. The wheels began to turn...One day, back in 2001, as she was slathering shea butter on her legs and two of her French Bulldogs rushed over to see if she had something for them to eat. Instead she dabbed some shea butter on their noses. Within two days they had soft, smooth noses.The light bulb went off, she shouted “Eureka!” and The Blissful Dog was born.

While you are in school, the college likes to see that you are actively working with animals so she got a job with the Indianapolis Zoo. Michelle worked in the plains section with Giraffes, Elephants, Wallabies and herd animals. Then had a short job in a research facility where she worked with rats. Michelle soon found out that she didn’t have the heart to do the things she needed to learn how to be a vet. Nicole attended the Academy of Dog Grooming Arts and ran a successful mobile grooming business for six years in Illinois and Florida followed by opening a shop that she owned for 5 years. Nicole had worked her way up the ranks in the contest ring earning many 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements in entry and intermediate levels, including best groomed dog in Level 2 in 2008.
