Many people have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but what we do and don’t do determines whether or not we are living a Christian life. Being a Christian is about more than being saved. It’s about living a life acceptable to God and sharing His greatness with others.

Who or what do you depend on? Who you depend on could make the difference between constant stress and frustration, or peace and harmony in your life. More and more people are wondering and saying, "What's going on in the world today?" We want things to change for the better, but we can't seem to see how we are going to make it as a society. At times it may seem that there's no hope for the future. As a result, many are worried, upset, and troubled. God commands us to worship Him and no one or anything else. This commandment requires us to make sure we are not exalting anything above God. We must carefully examine our lives to ensure there are no idols present. (Music Intro: "I Sing Praises to Your Name by Kent Henry)

The Bible is filled with examples of praise. We see God's power released, life-changing miracles, dramatic stories of the enemy being halted or defeated, hearts being changed and drawn closer to Him. However, the reality is, that way too often the daily struggles or demands of life can crowd out our time to give praises to God. We must come to know and realize that there is power in Praising God! We greatly underestimate the power of the spoken word...especially when using the spoken work with the authority that Jesus has given us. Unimaginable power resides in our mouths along with the Name of Jesus if only we can understand how to use it. Don't miss this message, it might be an "eye-opener" for you.

"Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's." 2 Chronicles 20:15b We need not struggle with the battles of life. We can win those battles, in the form of finances, health, worry, and fear because God tells us that the battle belongs to Him. We don't have to struggle. Spiritual issues can only be handled by using spiritual methods. As soldiers in God’s army, we may be called to battle at any moment. We must be prepared by using Holy Spirit guidance and spiritual weapons in order to be victorious.

Now that we've had a chance to reflect on the events of Resurrection Sunday and its meaning, perhaps you decided to give your life to the Lord, or maybe now you have a renewed understanding of those events, and you want to refocus your life. Most of us know the historic events of Jesus' Crucifixion and Resurrection, but what does His resurrection actually mean for us today? Is the resurrection just an interesting series of events, or is there some tangible impact on our lives today? The impact of Jesus' resurrection has more impact on your life than you might imagine. As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday which is next week, we move forward to see God's Plan unfold as we remember Palm Sunday. As we remember Palm Sunday we are assured that God will keep His Word about the future. How do we know that for certain? Because He has kept His Word so perfectly and exactly in the past! People often focus too much on where they’ve been, where they are from, or how they grew up. Life isn’t about where you’ve been, it’s about where you’re going. The person you were, isn’t the person you are, nor are you the person that you hope to become. In the workplace and in our personal lives we always talk about doing great things. Athletes talk about being great in their sport. But when it comes to following God, we often tend to settle for just good enough. We should always strive to reach the standard God has set for us. One of the most remarkable characteristics of God is that while He is the Creator of the universe, He still speaks to people like you and me. His speaking to us is usually not through an audible voice but through the drawing of our hearts. We often refer to this drawing as the Calling of God. Sometimes we forget about God's presence and power in our lives when we face uncertain and difficult times...and for sure we are living in uncertain and difficult times. But, according to God's Word we have Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit, the most powerful force in existence, to carry us through any difficulties. But the question is...do you believe?

We all face change in our daily lives, whether it's financial, emotional, or physical. We must realize that whatever changes come our way we can face them with optimism and confidence knowing that God is here to bring us through. In this day and age we need to be able deal with change before it becomes a burden to us.

The actions we take are a result of a conscious choice we make given the information available to us. Our decision to act according to God’s will instead of our own, is our choice and no one else’s. We must keep an eye out for things that would put our will before God’s will.
