Of course we talk about Patch 2.3, the mini-expansion What We've been doing:Aprillian We decided to start over on a PvP server, as alliance. Patch stuff Guild banks are cool.  Perfect for people with alts.  No longer do you have to remember who is holding what or use Rpgoutfitter.com.  You can store stuff in the guild bank.  Not too much room so you won't be storing silly stuff.  It's going to make all the difference for true altaholics.  If you have 3 accounts like I do and a bunch of different alts, it's worth it to invest in a guild and guild bank. Tips: Eggs, start collecting small eggs for the Holiday season.  You'll need them to make cookies.  So will everyone else.  You can sell them on the AH right at the start for a few gold.

Mac Video Recording - Having lots of fun with it. The quality is great Glanthur: Yeah Brewfest!  I had a lot of fun doing these activities with Arlaerus.  I also found a potentially cool new guild.  I won't name them until I'm sure they're up-and-running, but it things are looking up.  I got Palanor to level 13 and Arlaerus to lever 43.  One more level until the next skill buying spr

Grinding Rep and Helping alts and silly transfers. Closing tag contest extended 1 more week. Silly things I did this week Transfer an alt from one account to another just to see if the Netherwelp from the Collector's Edition would transfer.  It did Log into my toons on the Baelgun server and take everything of value from most characters and put everything on Sherrinna the Level 14 Priest so I can transfer her to ER.  Great things I did this week Make it to Winterspring on my level 56 Hunter Auntrillia Grinding Rep is time consuming. To explain Grinding Rep - Some quests require you to "make nice" with a certain group.  For instance I needed to get to Winterspring.  The only way to get to Winterspring is through a tunnel that is full of Timbermaw Furbolgs but if I kill of a bunch of their enemies, Deadwood and Winterfall Furbolgs they will like me and eventually I can at least run through their tunnels without them killing me.  But there's another quest I need to actually be able to talk to these

What’s Going On • Before we head into the meat of the podcast, I’d like to address some comments about last week’s Special Video Presentation o Sorry about the sound quality, didn’t realize the battle sounds were so loud o I use an Iogear KVM switch that allows me to move back and forth between the two computers using ctrl ctrl o Combinations best suited for dual boxing • In the video Warlock and Hunter, the Warlock places DOT’s (I kept calling them buffs in the video) and the hunter can autoshoot. • Any suggestions for other combinations?   Alt Tips Retuning Alts I spent the weekend retuning my alts. • You shouldn’t feel locked into a profession for life, especially with alts. Once an alt is in the upper 30’s or 40’s, the skills they have might not be as useful, or you might have another alt who can do the job just as well if not better. o Treshel was a miner, but I had transferred in Iwari and she was around the same level in mining. I was hardly using Treshel to mine. I wanted to use Treshel to farm the

Created 2 characters on Lethon, a PvP server. · I’ve joined Randy Deluxe’s Guild –“Phat Loot Fishers” Also tried my hand at PvP PvE makes me feel powerful and strong PvP makes me feel stupid What I did this week Visited Shattrah – Found out in guild chat that you can get a port there with a mage. I logged on to Rilfire on the Baelgun server and did a /who 70 mage search and whispered a few mages. At first I was whispering mages in Shattrath. Then I realized I needed to find a mage near me. I found one in Undercity who was willing to port me for 1 g. Then I logged on with Aprillian on the Baelgun and had the same mage port me t

What's Going On I spent some time "Seeding" Servers with my alts. The Lunar Festival is a great time to put alts up and get Flight Paths. Then when or if you want an alt on that server, then they already have the flight paths. I wanted a Ravager on my Blood Elf. I figured out a way to get my Horde Character into the Alliance starting area. All it took was some trial and error and some dying. No. 1. What’s Going On Observations • Dranei men sound like Worf’s father, is there a connection? Saw the Drainei mounts, very cool • Tip: If you are near and heading back to the inn you hearthed from and you need just one more space in your bag, you can destroy the stone and get a new one at the end House Cleaning • I took all of my alts to their banks and cleaned out their banks and bags. You probably have some stuff that you needed to get your craft up to the current level, put what you don’t need on AH. Make it a fairly reasonable price. If it sells, you’ll have some more money, if it doesn’t, it will be mailed back to you, where you can keep it in your mailbox until you find another alt who needs it or you can use it, or sell it. This does mean you won’t know when you get new mail. But for me, that’s only important on my Banker alts to see if I sold something for big money on AH. You should already be sending all of your big AH stuff to your Banker alt. • Cleared Out Quest. o Looked for Quests that we

Ctrl Alt WoW Episode 006 – Were you prepared January 20, 2007 Segment I.    What’s Going On A.    Can I have your attention please - B.    Installing and running Burning Crusade – success C.     My train was late into Chicago, Amtrak was nice, they put us up in a hotel, but that meant I wouldn’t be getting home on Monday night as I planned.  I would have had just enough time to get in line at Ebgames and pick up the 2 copies I had reserved.  So Sunday night I’m stuck in Chicago trying to figure out how to get my copies of BC.  I would be on the train for almost 24 hours once I left Chicago Monday night, so there would be no way to get it.  Could I ask my husband to go to Ebgames Monday night and stand in line?  I don’t think so. No. 1.    Very very painless.   The installation took went pretty fast.  Four disks, a 163 mb patch, then a 4.3 mb patch and then that opening screen No. 2.    I started a blood elf and of course the starting area was jam packed.  But there was no lag and it was like Time Square on Ne

CTRL ALT WOW  004 The Road to Burning Crusade I WHAT’S GOING ON A.    Preparing for the Burning Crusade i.Most upper level folks have been grinding I suppose but I’ve been gathering materials.  Level 41 Hunter Treshel is mining her heart out.  Level 10 Alliance is mining copper so she can send to my new Dranei, then she will be deleted.  I feel kind of guilty knowing she’s working so hard only to be “killed” off. ii.    Took my 52 into Azshara to do Hunter Quest – Very hard and challenging solo but it was worth it.  Found the limit of riding through mobs B.    After listening to some other podcasts about World of Warcraft, I realized I needed to cover the “why I play World of Warcraft” subject.  I’ve touched on how I’ve come to play it, with some friends from Second Life, but I never really elaborated on why I love it so much. 1.    My history in gaming: a.    A little Magic the Gathering.  Mostly computer games.  Hitchhiker’s Guide Text game.  Played a version of Dungeons & Dragons on a DOS computer.  L

I WHAT’S GOING ON A. What I’ve been doing i. Redoing Podcast, didn’t like the shortness, I felt rushed, going to try to make it less “ummish”. ii. 2.0 features I’ve been trying 1. Quick Loot – you can choose to just right click to loot instead of shift right clicking. Shift right clicking has the opposite effect and opens the loot box so you can pick and choose 2. Re-doing Talent trees – this is a lot of work when you have 18 alts. I am the epitome of casual player. I know there are certain preconceived notions of which trees to pick, but I just do the kid in the candy shop method, i.e. ooh this looks neat, I’ll click on that. I know on WoW website there’s a tree tester https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/hunter/talents.html It lets you experiment with different trees and you can even print them out. iii.
