In Mark 4:18, Jesus warns of seed sown among thorns—those who hear the Word but allow the cares of this world, deceitfulness of riches, and lusts of other things to choke it out. This verse challenges us to examine our hearts: Is the Word being crowded out, or is it bearing fruit?

While 2 Corinthians 6:14 is often quoted in the context of marriage, this study reveals that its meaning reaches far beyond that. The verse draws from the image of a team of oxen yoked together, emphasizing the importance of unity and shared purpose. When the yoke is unequal, the team cannot work effectively. Likewise, believers are warned of the spiritual danger in being bound together with those who do not share the same faith and direction.

To open the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6, we find the key to it all in the first phrase: "Our Father." There is no father like our Father!

All through the book of Mark, we see the works of Jesus on display. When we look at all the miracles performed, then and now, we can only say: "God Did That!"

These two passages may seem unrelated, but God is showing us the end of the matter of Christ (Luke 4), and the anti-christ (Daniel 7).

In Luke 15, Jesus shares three parables that all center around a common theme: something—or someone—that was lost is joyfully found. What a glorious day it was when the Lord found us, saved us, and we were lost no more!
