Spring is in the air and so is spring football as the Hawkeyes held their first official practice on Wednesday in Iowa City. We were joined by former Hawkeye standout Bruce Kittle to discuss what spring football is like for a coach and what they are looking for from players. We also discuss the big news of the day, Peter Jok testing the NBA waters and a pair of defections from the women’s hoops program.

We call this an “emergency” podcast, but it really wasn’t an emergency. We simply wanted to get another Hawkeye Report Podcast in before the start of the NCAA Tournament later this week. So we ventured over to our home at 2 Dogs Pub in Iowa City to look back at Iowa’s short trip to the Big Ten Tournament and look ahead to the Hawkeyes match-up later this week in Brooklyn against Temple. Plus we talk a little women’s hoops, wrestling, and Iowa baseball.

With the Big Ten Tournament upon us, the Hawkeye Report Podcast took a deep dive into the Iowa Basketball team on Monday night. We were joined by John Bohnenkamp from the Burlington Hawkeye and Alex Giaimo from WHBF-TV to look at the Hawkeyes chances of making a run in the Big Ten Tournament and their NCAA seed. Plus we discuss a big recruiting weekend for Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa football team, Hawkeye wrestling, women’s hoops, and Iowa baseball and their home opener on Tuesday.

The Hawkeye Report Podcast was back at 2 Dogs Pub on Sunday for a game watch and then we tried to make some sense of exactly what’s going on with the Hawkeye Basketball team after they fell to Ohio State. We were joined by former Hawk Kenyon Murray to break down the loss to the Buckeyes and try to figure out if Iowa can snap out of their funk that has resulted in losses in four of the their last five contests.

The Hawkeye Report Podcast headed to Rocky O’Brien’s in North Liberty and we tried to make figure out exactly what’s going on with the Iowa Basketball team with our special guest, former Hawkeye standout Adam Haluska. We look back at Iowa’s loss to Wisconsin and take a deep dive into what went wrong. Plus we look at the Big Ten title race and we talk some women’s hoops, plus we discuss Drew Ott’s situation and if he will be back for his fifth year.

The Hawkeye Report Podcast returned to 2 Dogs Pub on Sunday night to talk hoops with former Hawkeye standout Kenyon Murray. We take a deep dive into the numbers for the Iowa Basketball team and look ahead at the Big Ten race and the Hawkeyes Big Ten title chances. Plus, we get Murray’s views on some of the future Hawkeyes playing high school basketball in the area.
