God created each of us with a desire to make a contribution with our lives & to do something that makes this world a little bit better for others.

Whenever the Bible talks about financial generosity it has very little to do with how much we have or how much we make. Instead it has everything to do with the attitude of our hearts.

Have you ever felt totally unqualified to do something? You’re not alone – everyone’s been there. And yet, God specializes in doing extraordinary things through ordinary people like us. Don’t miss this, as we learn from Exodus chapters 3-4 about having “A SERVING HEART” that God can use.

There’s an important message from Jesus that will help our hearts grow – if we really listen to it. On Sunday we’ll learn from Revelation 2:1-7 about “A LOVING HEART.”

Del Sol Church is one house, many rooms. Each campus or “room” is an integral part of what God is building so we want to develop a HEART FOR THE HOUSE. This new initiative is about making room for God to do greater things in us, both individually & as a church family – and we’ll begin on Sunday by learning from 1 Peter 2:4-8 about having “A GROWING HEART.”

There’s a question we should all ask. It’s a question that should constantly be on our hearts & in our minds. In fact, we should feel driven to find the answer to this question.

If God were to offer to give you one thing you wanted most in life, what you ask Him for? We all have our lists of what we’d ask for …but maybe we’re missing the most important one.

We all have hopes about money, expectations about money, and disappointments about money. It can be hard to have a healthy relationship with money. Thankfully, Solomon gives us wisdom we need in Ecclesiastes chapters 5-6 to see it for what it really is. On Sunday we’ll finally find out the answer to the financial question: HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?

Most people spend much of their time thinking about how they can be happy – yet Solomon wisely tells us how doing that is actually the very source of pain and unhappiness.

Time. Whether you feel it moves too slow or you wonder where it went, time has a way of frustrating all of us.

The book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible is a book of wisdom because it shows us how to look at the end point of our lives & then learn to live backward from there – because the end will explain everything & put it all right. We’ll begin this new series by looking through Ecclesiastes chapter 1-2 to ask a powerful question about life: WHAT’S THE POINT?

As followers of Christ we are called to step into this messy, hurting world & bring others into the healing presence of Jesus by unleashing compassion.

Loving people is crucial for building community – so we’ve got to learn to love well. The best way to learn something is to see it modeled by someone else, and without a doubt Jesus Christ is the best example of love no matter the relational dynamics. This weekend we’ll learn 4 practical ways to be truly LOVING with others like Christ is with us.

Helping people love God & others as they follow Christ, build community, and unleash compassion – this is us. It’s good to be reminded what we’re about as a church family.

God is throwing a party for His lost kids when they return home …but if we’re not careful, we can miss it. It’s possible to be in church physically yet far from God spiritually.

Last week we learned that when we run from God, eventually we run out. So what happens when we decide to turn around & go back home? How does God receive us?

Your values shape how you live & what you do in life, and they also shape our nation in one way or another. Unfortunately it seems many of our best values are decaying. So we will ask the tough question “WHERE HAVE ALL THE VALUES GONE?” – and we will also find answers & hope for recovery that starts with God.
