There is no price too high that God would not pay for any of us. We matter to God. We are priceless to Him! THE CHARACTERS IN THE PARABLE OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN… A Certain Man “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.”—Luke 10:30 The certain man represents us in our fallen condition—naked, wounded, and left for dead by sin and Satan. The Jewish Priest “Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.”—Luke 10:31 The Jewish priest pictures the Law of God. Keeping the Law—a list of “righteous works” cannot save you. The Levites “Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.”—Luke 10:32 The Levites were keepers
